Droseraceae picturs The Droseraceae could be found in different forms all around the world. There are about 130 known sorts with different needs and ways of cultivation. Some of them look like tiny brushes for washing of bottles, other like thin reeds.

They all have small mustaches, where is hidden the substant, which helps catching the preys.

The plants are all coloured very different and, but most wide spread are the the red tops of the mustaches. Their leaves a half-active – they close themselves rapid around the catched insect, of which is beeing than taken down the fence with a special enzym.

During the spring and the summer, the plant is blooming with white, pink or yellow flowers, which are developing from the fine stalks. The Droseraceae leaves reach 10-12 sm. length.
