Cymbidium is one of the widely met orchids for cut blossom. Offered for sale are not only whole white stems, but also single florets immersed in special miniature bottles, full of water.
The beginner florists can have difficulties with the florescence, for the reason that often more efforts are needed than usual. The Cymbidium requires low night temperatures during the summer and a rise in temperature of at least 5ー during the day. It’s best that currents and quite high temperatures are not present. During the warm months the flowers can be placed in the garden on a lighted place without a direct sunlight. On first cold weather symptoms they should be brought back home. |
